Film On Rivers And Mining

A FREE 20-minute documentary film on the effect of underground coalmining on rivers and creeks will be screened in the Singleton Council administration building foyer on Wednesday at 7pm.

Rivers of Shame has segments on three Upper Hunter water courses, Wambo and Bowmans creeks and the Pages River, which flow into the head of the Hunter River.

The documentary is produced by community group Rivers SOS and the screening has been organised by Minewatch.
