Planned Creek Names Floated

NEWCASTLE City Council is seeking public comment on the proposed names of two creeks that flow into Ironbark Creek.

People are invited to respond to the names Blue Wren Creek, west of Blackbutt Lookout, and Crawchie Creek, near Sandgate Road, Shortland.

The names were chosen after a community campaign.

Comment can be lodged at the Geographical Names Board at www.gnb.nsw.gov.au until August 26.
